Soccer is the fastest growing and most affordable sport in Canada (Equipment required: soccer shoes, shin pads and registration fee of $150 ages 5 to 10 or $160 ages 11 to 18.... Included in registration fee: Complete uniform ...Shirt, socks, shorts, and a team photo).

Soccer is now surpassing hockey as the sport of choice.Soccer is challenging to the body ( running, jumping, throwing, co-ordination, endurance) and the mind( strategy, action/consequence, teamwork).

Parents also have the opportunity to watch their children grow and develop as players and/or join in and learn to be a Coach or Assistant Coach. Division Conveners are also required.

Positions also exist for Students who require Community service hours as Assistant Coaches.

Club Roma is proud to be part of a community who actively supports the participation of our families in sports.

We are the only Soccer Club in Niagara that offers a program where children have the opportunity to watch professional soccer by the only Canadian Professional Soccer League team in the Region, The Club Roma Wolves.

Club Roma Minor Soccer provides a house league program for boys and girls, children and youth ages 5 to 18. Children/Youth learn soccer skills, sportsmanship and fair play in a fun, organized program. Children/Youth participating in the house league program practice and play on local fields and have the opportunity for their teams to put their skills to the test and participate in playoffs at the end of the season. House League Soccer Q and A’s


Q What age divisions are there in House league at Club Roma.
A There are 6 divisions. 5-6, 7-8, 9-10, 11-12, 13-15, 16 -18.Note: The 13 to 15, 16 - 18 divisions could be split further depending on enrollment.  All are Co-ed.

Q Does my child have to have some soccer experience to participate in the program?
A No. This is house league with the emphasis on fun, fitness and skills development and Teamwork. 

Q When does the Soccer Program begin and end?
A Practices will begin in at the beginning of May (weather dependent) with games starting the middle of May (weather dependent).The season ends with playoff week at the end of August. Weekend Finals will include a BBQ and other events to be announced.

Q What days of the week does the house league program play?
A The games will be played between Monday – Friday and individual coaches will determine what nights practices will be held.  5/6 Division- Tuesday or Thursday , 7/8 Division- Tuesday or Thursday, 9/10 Division- Monday,  11/12 Division- Tuesday,  ,13 /15 Division- Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday 16/18 Division-Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday (To be confirmed) Note: The 13 to 15, 16/18 Divisions could be split further depending on enrollment. 

Q How much does it cost to register my child?
A The registration fee for House league is $150.00 for ages 5 to 10 and $160.00 for ages 11 to 18. The registration fee provides the child with a full uniform including shirt, shorts and socks, a soccer ball, a team picture,a participant medal and BBQ at seasons end. 

Q What do I have to have for my child to participate in the Program?
A  The child must have shin protection (Ontario Soccer Association requirement) and proper soccer cleats. 

Q What will my child do in the program?
A Basic and developmental soccer skills, team work, have fun, increase their fitness level and make new friends. 

Q Where will my child be playing?
A From ages 5-10, all games will be held at Club Roma. From 11-18, they will be played at either Woodgale or Cambria (Port Dalhousie). 

Q Who mentors my child when they participate in the Program?
A All of our mentors are parent/student volunteers who wish to participate to make a difference in the childs learning experience. All of our volunteers will be offered a chance to participate in ongoing coaching clinics that enhance the quality of our coaches. 

Q When and where do I register for the program?
A Registration will take place at Club Roma on Saturday January 16th, February 13th and March 6th from 10:00am – 2:00pm.

No late registrations will be accepted. A mandatory assessment day will be held April 3rd.

Please bring with you... your child’s birth certificate or proof of birth and cash or cheque payable to "Club Roma Minor Soccer"

Q.Is there fee assistance available?
A Yes Through programs such as "Pro Kids" and "Jumpstart"... no child has to sit on the sidelines.
