MINIFEST!!!

What a successful season!

Our season ended this past weekend with our minifest for our house league teams. The kids and parents enjoyed face painting, a bouncer, barbeque and some great soccer culminating in our first ever Coaches Cup.

The Coaches had a great time showing their stuff on the field during the Coaches Cup. This is an event that we definitely hope to have again and we hope that you can participate next year as a coach!!

IMPORTANT NOTE: The office will be closed from August 30th until September  13th as we take a break before preparing for next season!!!

Soccer is the fastest growing and most affordable sport in Canada (Equipment required: soccer shoes, shin pads and registration fee of $150 to $160.... Included in registration fee: Complete uniform ...Shirt, socks, shorts, and a team photo).

Soccer is now surpassing hockey as the sport of choice.Soccer is challenging to the body ( running, jumping, throwing, co-ordination, endurance) and the mind( strategy, action/consequence, teamwork).

Parents also have the opportunity to watch their children grow and develop as players and/or join in and learn to be a Coach or Assistant Coach. Division Conveners are also required.

Positions also exist for Students who require Community service hours as Assistant Coaches.

Club Roma is proud to be part of a community who actively supports the participation of our families in sports.

We are the only Soccer Club in Niagara that offers a program where children have the opportunity to watch professional soccer by the only Canadian Professional Soccer League team in the Region, The St. Catharines Roma Wolves.

Club Roma Minor Soccer provides a house league program for boys and girls, children and youth ages 5 to 18. Children/Youth learn soccer skills, sportsmanship and fair play in a fun, organized program. Children/Youth participating in the house league program practice and play on local fields and have the opportunity for their teams to put their skills to the test and participate in playoffs at the end of the season. Come and join the pack!

With the assistance of parent volunteers, 3 and 4 year olds are shown sportsmanship, team play, and beginner ball handling techniques.

Soccer Starters lasts a maximum of ten weeks ( weather permitting), with a half an hour of skills development followed by a 25 minute scrimmage.

Please register early , as we usually have a waiting list.
